Introducing… Hudson Barrett!

Born on Monday, February 29th at 12:59am,
at 7lbs 14oz & 21 inches.

Our little leap day surprise!

I’ve taken a stab trying to finish this post,
oh… about 5 times in the past four months.
I kid you not.

{yeah, life’s a tad busy!!}

First came the newborn days
and c-section recovery. {‘nough said}
Navigating breastfeeding for the first time.
{wow! much respect.}
Sleeping issues. Mystery tummy issues.
{discovered there’s such a
thing as lactose overload}
Correcting said tummy issues which,
thankfully, also helped with his sleeping.

And now, at four months, he’s a happy,
go-with-the-flow, smiley little guy and
we’re in a grove with the
day-to-day but boy am I playing catch up!

Oh, and did I mention I also have two who are
off school for summer break?
Yep, lots of running around town trying
to make some memories!

In turn, literally ZERO free time. :o)
But, I wouldn’t trade it!

I mean: Look at this sweetness!!!

He looks almost exactly like his big brother and,
as a newborn, we could see many mannerisms
his sister had when she was little.
He is THE most ticklish baby and
his laugh is the absolute best!
I just love watching his personality come to life. :-)

So thankful for our little miracle blessing.
A void in my heart has been filled;
one that I never in a million years thought
would be filled and I am SO, so grateful!

There is truly nothing like creating
a little person inside you
(doesn’t matter if it’s the first or the third),
and then watch them breathe and smile
and thrive on their own before your
very eyes each & every day.
Nothing else compares!

A child is worth every ounce of sacrifice –
every pound gained, every sleepless night,
every free moment now spoken for,
every worry & gray hair
they might one day cause. :)

To give life and grow the love within our
family is truly my greatest accomplishment
in life – far exceeding any degree,
award, or sum of money – and one
that will never, ever quite be matched.

My heart is FULL!
